At Solvang Friendship House, our caring staff and friendly campus help our residents maintain a comfortable, dignified lifestyle – one where they’ll find helpful personal assistance with activities of daily living. Behind the friendly smiles and helpful attitudes is a well trained staff, committed to providing quality care and treating all residents as family. We go the extra mile to make Solvang Friendship House a comfortable and inviting home.
Amenities include cozy common areas in each home, many with a fireplace, for social engagement and life enrichment activities with other house mates. Several peaceful sitting areas where residents can read or enjoy visits with family and friends are located throughout the campus. A beautifully landscaped campus with walking paths and several comfortable garden sitting areas add to our resident’s daily enjoyment.
Our caring professionals create a warm and friendly atmosphere, and are always ready with a hug or smile. We’re proud of the tenure of our staff and the esteemed history of our campus. This depth of knowledge translates to superior care. We care for each resident in a manner that reflects the appreciation we have for the uniqueness of each resident. Our staff seek to foster independence rather than dependence, and to be sensitive to the individuality, privacy and freedom of choice to which our residents are entitled. With respect and love, we maintain a home that is welcoming to residents, their families and friends, whom we encourage to continue in their role as life supporters.
Our staff is carefully selected, then specially trained and certified through our affiliation with the Alzheimer’s Association. Our Memory Care home is specially designed to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for our residents. Great care is taken to provide a regular routine, an important aspect in managing Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Residents have interaction all day long through one-on-one and group activities, including sensory an motor skill exercises, music therapy, and entertainment. We consider our resident’s family members and friends to be part of our family, as well. We encourage loved ones to visit and our staff is readily available for support.
